Dayboro Antique & Collectables Fair
Since commencing in 2007 the fair has proven to be a great success offering leading dealers. It promises to be an exciting time full of surprises for the avid Collector or the first timer.
There will be a multitude of fine English, European, Continental and, of course, our own Australian Wares.
There will be something to suit every taste.
Experienced Valuers will be in attendance to give "a verbal appraisal". There will be a small charge for this:
$2.00 per item. (Limit 3 items per person) Bring along that favourite piece you have acquired or maybe something that has been handed down as a family heirloom.
A silent auction and a lucky door prize will be run.
Cost for entry to Antique & Collectables Fair:
- Adults $5.00
- Children under 16 free.
All monies raised will go to a local community cause.
9.30 am Guide Dogs for the Blind – Learn about the journey of a guide dog from puppy to trained guide dog assisting vision impaired people of all ages. Hear about their training and how they become confident Guide Dogs and family pets when out of harness.
10.30 am Qld Parks and Wildlife – See and learn about some wonderful Australian species with rangers from Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. They will bring along pythons, lizards and other reptiles some of which you can handle.
11 am Dayboro Ambulance – CPR Demonstration by our local ambulance service.
11.30 am Qld Uni Vets – UQ Vets have been serving the local community and surrounds for over 25 years. Dr Meghan Scrivens will speak about pet cows and cows on acreage.

12.30 pm Qld Parks and Wildlife – as above
1 pm Kumbartcho Nursery – Donna Farrell will talk about weeds which are a problem in all gardens. She holds a Cert III in horticulture and is known as the ‘Woodford Weed Woman’ because of her weed clearing at the Festival site. Donna is a consultant at the Kumbartcho Nursery.
'Kids Passport to Fun'
Kids collect their passport from the Dayboro District Progress Association headquarters at the Conversations marquee, find the 8 venues, have their Passport stamped and collect their 'treasure'. When complete, place their Passport entry in the marked box back at the stage in Roderick Cruice Park by 2pm. At 2.15pm 20 lucky entrants will be drawn and will each receive a $25 book voucher to choose their own prize from the book store.
